Osteopathy
Osteopathic Approach
For me, osteopathy is like detective work in search of the cause of a symptom. Targeted manual techniques are used to release blockages and functional disorders in order to restore the balance between structure and function and activate the body's self-healing powers.
1 Parietal
Structural therapy, which uses manipulation techniques to mobilize joints, release blockages, and relieve restrictions in fascia, muscles, and ligaments.2 Cranio-Sacral
This gentle form of therapy is based on the craniosacral rhythm and the release of sutural tension, with the aim of balancing the central and peripheral nervous systems.3 Visceral
Therapy of the internal organs with a focus on enabling the mobility of the organs within themselves, in their environment, and in their interactions with the musculoskeletal system.
How does an osteopathic session look like?
No two treatment is the same, as the body is constantly changing and every person has an individual history and physiology of their own.
At your first appointment, we will discuss your symptoms and medical history in detail. You are welcome to bring any existing findings and images (X-ray, CT, MRI) from previous medical examinations. A practical full-body examination will then be carried out to determine your physical condition on the day and to find out where treatment is required for you. This is followed by treatment using various manual techniques and a final consultation in which we discuss the next steps to ensure the success of your treatment.
Note: If you feel more comfortable not being examined in underwear, you are welcome to wear sport shorts.
Please allow 60 minutes for both the initial appointment and the follow-up appointment.
Pregnancy and children
Pregnancy and after delivery
Pregnancy brings about numerous physical changes that can cause discomfort such as back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, digestive problems, or pelvic pain. Gentle manual treatment can relieve tension and provide you with the best possible support to facilitate the natural process of pregnancy and childbirth.
Children
Osteopathic treatments can release blockages in children that arose during birth, for example, and manifest themselves in the form of developmental delays, unsteadiness when walking, headaches, chronic bronchitis/sinusitis.
Please bring a toy and a mat for your child and allow approximately 45 minutes for the treatment.

Reimbursement from your health insurance company
Many health insurance companies reimburse a certain proportion of the costs for osteopathic treatments. The prerequisite is usually a doctor's private prescription. The amount of reimbursement and the number of reimbursed treatments vary depending on the insurance company. It is best to find out about the individual benefits and reimbursement conditions directly from your health insurance provider.
